Orville Giguiento

Orville Giguiento is a self‑taught watercolor artist whose work blends disciplined observation with a contemporary, exploratory approach to the medium. His paintings are defined by confident control of light, atmospheric depth, and a refined sense of composition—qualities that give his pieces both emotional resonance and strong visual presence in a collection.

Primarily working in watercolor, Orville embraces the medium’s complexity and unpredictability to create works that feel immediate yet thoughtfully constructed. His practice is rooted in plein air painting, where direct engagement with place informs the authenticity and clarity of his studio work.

With a background in architecture and years of competitive plein air experience across the United States, Orville brings structural sensitivity and professional rigor to each piece. He is a member of the American Watercolor Society, American Impressionist Society, and Plein Air Artists of Colorado, and his work has earned multiple awards in juried plein air events.

Collectors value Orville’s ability to merge technical mastery with a distinctive, evolving voice—producing watercolor paintings that stand out for their craftsmanship, narrative subtlety, and enduring appeal.
